My Experience

I have played with competitive and show Pipe Bands in both Australia and Canada at many types of events. The bands provided entertainment at variety shows, local fairs, parades, highland games and competitions in both countries, plus in the U.S., Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, China, Scotland and Ireland. As a band member, I have had the honour of playing for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral Castle; for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William and Kate) when they toured Ottawa; and for the Governor General at several events. In 2019, I was part of the massed bands for the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo; the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2019 and 2024; and in 2022 and 2023, at the Basel Tattoo.

My experience as a solo piper has been gained over many years of playing, at well over 450 solo events, including:
